Mrs Nutting

I remember my first ever book from the library it was called Harry and the flying bicycle. The reason that I remember this is because Mrs Nutting helped me find my first school library book. She was the most helpful librarian. She knew everyone's name and what kind of books they would like. Our school had the most organised book fairs that any school had, in the world. Mrs Nutting got in special book shelves and covered up the current ones to make the book fairs as best as possible for all of the kids. She was so dedicated to being a librarian and helping all kids get the best experience out of reading. She even went to the extent of bringing around a shopping trolley to all of the classes when the library was closed. She knew everyone so well that when she bought the mobile library around all of the classes she had a recommended book for almost everyone at the school. As well as doing all of the books she was also in charge of all of the school uniforms and jackets so whenever there was a sports or academic tournament or competition then everyone would line up in the library to be given a jacket or shirt. Anyone that knew her would know that if you didn’t return your jacket then you were in Big trouble. She even took the time away from school to wash all of the used t-shirts and jackets. I know that I personally will miss her and every single child that goes or even has gone to Kapanui school will miss her hugely.
