Alternative to Tech Day!!

My alternative to Tech day is..................................... SPORTS DAY!!!!!

In the senior syndicate at Kapanui school we go on the computers every day. We only do class sport on a Thursday for 1 Hour, Whereas we are on the chromebooks for about 3 Hours a day on average. .What good is it doing us sitting inside all day doing work on laptops? people wonder why around 36% of Kiwi kids are overweight❓ Why do you ask❓  Kids these days get more enjoyment out of sitting on the couch playing on their PS or XBOX , rather than going outside to kick a ball or go to the park with their mates. So what harm can having one day of playing games and sports do❓
I have 11 reasons that Sport day would be better than Tech day

1.  It might help encourage sport in kids that wouldn’t normally play sport.
2. Everyone will be outside playing organised sport games.
3. It will get kids up and active for a day.
4. It might help with kids fitness, Instead of sitting down for the day on a Laptop, We will be playing sport for a day.
5. We (Kapanui school kids) use the computers all day, and do more typing than writing.
6. If everyone got to choose what sports/games we played everyone would enjoy it instead of being forced to play games that they got outvoted against.
7. We need to try something new(ish) in the day because all anyone wants to do is Tech day
8.  We can have a choice of 6 sports games all over the school, ETC Football, Touch rugby, Basketball, Netball, Hockey and Cricket.

I opened the door and darted inside careful not to make any noise. I found a small dusty chest sitting in the shadows. I tried to lift it. Surprisingly it opened it. I reached in and, WHAT WAS THAT I COULD FEEL? I nervously peered in and saw a dead body... then more dusty chests, then it hit me, they weren't chests! Then I heard footsteps…
